What is on the table for the next Standing Committee on Copyright and Related Rights: Twenty-Seventh Session (SCCR/27) April 28 to May 2, 2014 (Geneva, Switzerland)?
Two and one-half days will be devoted to the Protection of Broadcasting Organizations. Note that the Proposed Treaty draft is available now. The Working Document SCCR/27/2 is 12 pages long (Article 1-16) with an annex of 5 pages presenting alternatives proposed by India, Japan as well as the "US Proposal for discussion purposes."

Article 9 Protection for Broadcasting Organizations (the lists of proposed rights including the exclusive right to authorize):
(i) the right of fixation of their broadcasts;

(iii) the retransmission of their broadcasts by any means, including rebroadcasting,
(iv) the communication to the public of their broadcasts;
(v) the making available to the public of the original and copies of fixations of their
retransmission by wire, and retransmission over computer networks;
(vi) the transmission by any means for the reception by the public of their broadcasts
