Zack Struver, Communications and Research Associate

Zack Struver is the Communications and Research Associate at Knowledge Ecology International.

During his time at KEI, Zack has conducted research and policy analysis on access to affordable medicines, and coordinated KEI's press outreach efforts. Zack has contributed to compulsory licensing requests on the prostate cancer drug enzalutamide (Xtandi) and the breast cancer treatment T-DM1, efforts to ensure transparency and accountability at the National Institutes of Health with regards to patent licensing practices, and research on the economics of drug pricing.

Prior to joining KEI, Zack graduated from Vassar College in 2015 with an A.B. in History. He was Editor-in-Chief of The Vassar Chronicle, Vassar's journal of thought and politics, and President of the Frances Daly Fergusson Debate Society.

Zack also worked as a debate coach at the Bronx High School of Science, where he coached students in Lincoln Douglas Debate, a one-on-one debate format that focuses on the intersection of philosophy, ethics, and public policy.

Zack developed an interest in public health and access to health care in part because he worked for five summers as a counselor at Happiness Is Camping, a free sleep-away camp for children with cancer in Hardwick, NJ, founded by his grandfather.
