Joint NGO Statement: Reject the WIPO Broadcast Treaty
We call upon WIPO delegates to reject the proposed WIPO Broadcast
Treaty……
It’s printed on yellow paper and looks like a REAL NGO flyer opposing a treaty that in fact everyone here (except the broadcasters) cannot stand. Delegates come to me to complain that no one likes it but no one seems to dare tell!
So I give them the flyer and they smile and then look at me as if they were horrified. I guess WIPO is like a church, no matter what you believe, most people think they have to act as if they agree with whatever rituals they have to perform while in the Church.
While the delegates are still in their night session and the NGOs still hanging outside gathering little information, I guess the only thing left is to pray?
