Below is a two page excerpt from a March 20, 2014 EU analysis of the TransAtlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP) negotiations on intellectual property rights, including geographical indications. After 5 days of diplomatic if not collegial meetings (at least in plenary, I do not really know what is going on in informals), the last day afternoon session is quite tense. The conclusions have been drafted (I briefly saw a leaked version) and the group coordinators have met with the Chair.
