1. Knowledge Ecology International welcomes the reports by experts, thanks the Secretariat for its work on this topic.
As a general matter, KEI suggests the WIPO Secretariat provide standardized disclosure of the professional consulting that various experts do, as is the practice for other UN bodies and some academic journals.

Let me start by congratulating you on the excellent job you have been doing in conducting the work of WIPO’s General Assembly.
WIPO Scoping Study on Copyright and Related Rights and the Public Domain (released May 2010)
On 7 May 2010 the WIPO Secretariat published a paper entitled “WIPO Scoping Study on Copyright and Related Rights and the Public Domain” prepared by Professor Séverine Dusollier (Professor, University of Namur, Belgium). This study was produced as an output of the WIPO Committee on Development and Intellectual Property’s (CDIP) thematic project on intellectual property and the public domain which is predicated upon Recommendations 16 and 20 of the Development Agenda.

WHO releases names of experts and advisor to the Emergency Committee concerning Influenza Pandemic (H1N1) 2009
WHO has released the ‘List of Members of, and Advisor to, the International Health Regulations (2005) Emergency Committee concerning Influenza Pandemic (H1N1) 2009‘ at the following site: http://www.who.int/ihr/emerg_comm_members_2009/en/. Of the 15 members and one advisor, 6 had declaration of interests. On this matter, WHO had the following statement:
Summary Report of WIPO’s expert group deliberations on a sui generis legal regime to protect folklore
WIPO’s First Intersessional Working Group (IWG 1) concluded its five days of deliberations on Friday, 23 July 2010 substantially closer to its goal of establishing a sui generis legal regime for the protection of traditional cultural expressions/expressions of folklore.
