PhRMA’s revolving door

The following are a few notes on PhRMA’s revolving door with the federal government.

Billy Tauzin. Former member of Congress from Louisiana.

Chris Singer. Previously served as a professional staff member for the U.S. House Appropriations Committee.

Brian Toohey. Former Desk Officer and Deputy Director in the European Office of the U.S. Department of Commerce.

Bryant Hall. Joined PhRMA’s Federal Affairs team in 2004 after a lengthy career as a staff member in the U.S. Senate. He worked for former Florida Senator Bob Graham for 11 years, culminated by his dual role as Legislative Director for Senator Graham and Staff Director of the Senate Committee on Veterans Affairs.

Jeff May. Previously served as Deputy Assistant Secretary for Import Administration at the U.S. Department of Commerce.

Former PhRMA:

Alan Gilbert. Joined PhRMA in May 2005. P reviously worked for the Bush Administration as Special Assistant to the President for Domestic Policy (Health). Prior to his service at the White House, he served as Deputy Assistant Secretary for Legislation under Secretary of Health and Human Service Tommy Thompson.
