KEI follows a number of negotiations over global norms for knowledge governance. Among the multilateral fora where KEI has been particularly active are the Geneva based World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), the World Trade Organization (WTO) and the World Health Organization (WHO). KEI participates in plurilateral and regional negotiations trade fora such as the OECD, the Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement (ACTA), PAHO, APEC, FTAA, TEC, and the Hague Conference on Private International Law, plus other negotiations. KEI is also active in debates over U.S. and EU bilateral trade negotiations and unilateral trade pressures.
